Portfolio Pad

At the internship, I did a heavy amount of work that involved using the software application Portfolio Pad.

Portfolio Pad is a software application that is used by model and talent agencies like Tamblyn Models to track bookings, updating the website, sending images and videos, manage client's/talents personal details and images as well as invoice jobs purposes. It is operated by Mainboard Creative Technology, a trusted market leader that sets the standards for innovative business solutions for fashion, advertising, production, media and creative industries across the world. The work I did on Portfolio Pad mostly consisted of uploading model images on the talents portfolio from the web converted folder under their division and name. I was asked to upload images of all the models and talents from the divisions Real Faces Women and Men, Kid Girls and Boys and Curve & Classic according to the Google Drive spreadsheet which was basically a checklist to track my progress and make notes on which images have been uploaded on PP. Whilst checking the names on the spreadsheet, I had to also cross-check my work through checking to see if they have a folder on Tamblyn's storage which for a number of clients, I could not seem to locate some talents folders, therefore, I couldn't upload their images on PP. As part of the Portfolio Pad procedure, I had to delete all the existing images in the talents media gallery and replace them with the new web converted ones. I had to then organise and sort the images according to how the images were arranged in the talents media on Squarespace which is the new Tamblyn Management website that is currently being built. Also, I had to change the profile picture according to the first photo on the web.

I have no work samples showing how to upload images, however, attached below is a sample spreadsheet/checklist of the list of names from the division Real Faces Women that needed their images uploaded on Portfolio Pad.

Though Portfolio Pad was quite a simple software to use, one thing, I didn't like about using it was that only one person can be on it at a time given the fact it is a software that is used daily in the agency by everyone. Also, some days it will also take longer than usual to upload a set of images due to the slow internet connection. Nevertheless, this was a great experience for me as I developed skills in using tools and software that I never used which it advance my knowledge in technology as well as creating portfolio profiles.

Another task I was instructed to do on Portfolio Pad was updating and inserting clients personal details, statistics and measurements on their profile. I also had to create new talent profiles from scratch for the new clients who recently signed up with the modelling agency. Whilst doing this task, I had to be responsible for the client contract forms details and making sure they were inserted correctly and they were kept confidential. A high level of accuracy was also involved in this process when putting in the client's measurements and personal information.

Attached is a sample of how to create new talent and how to insert stats.

To update or insert clients stats, it is changed in General, Stats & Skills, Contact & Social and Legal & Accounts. Attached below is a sample screen recording video that shows which buttons to navigate to update the stats.

I found updating and inserting stats was the least interesting task I did during my time at the internship as it was time-consuming which took me almost a whole day to do as PP was also taking a while to save the updated stats.

Squarespace - Web

As mentioned above, the Tamnbyn's Management editing website was another step to the process of uploading models and talents web converted images on their media. I had to create a Squarespace account in order for me to have access in editing the site and uploading images on the modes and talents media. The process involved uploading or dragging the images on the media then pressing the little cog which enables the option to edit images, then navigate to the button options and press featured image at the bottom of the page. This step was required to be applied to all the photos in the models' gallery.

Below is a sample of the new Tamblyn Management's website design and Alieda Ross (Womens Model) and Jovan Jovanovic (Mens Real Faces) media.
